Letter from our co-founder: 2016 Product vision
In my Product Vision for 2015, I outlined our ongoing commitment to customer service, our initiative to improve the underlying technology infrastructure of the EHR platform, and the dozens of customer-requested features that we planned to tackle in the year ahead — all to make sure your EHR is continuously getting better.
2015: A year in review
As we look back on 2015, I deeply appreciate the contributions our community has made to help improve the #1 cloud-based EHR and keep Practice Fusion on the leading edge of care. Since December last year, there have been:
- Over 900 product ideas submitted with over 3,000 comments.
- 94 community ideas already delivered as product features.
- 8 new ideas currently being worked on.
Your feedback powers everything we do
Practice Fusion’s EHR updates are driven by community submissions and feedback from our practices. If you have an idea to improve your EHR experience, let us know!
Here are just a few of the major customer requests released in 2015:
- Flowsheets
- Custom reminder tasks
- Inbound faxing with Updox
- Rich-text formatting of chart notes
- Customer service queue callback
- ICD-10 upgrade
- Patient Intake
- Copay collection
- Insurance eligibility checking
- Controlled Substance e-prescribing in 9 states (more coming in 2016!)
2016: An eye towards the future
In addition to the new features and workflow enhancements, we are always working to reduce clicks, eliminate bugs, and improve application response times to help ensure you’re able to deliver better care more efficiently.
In 2016, you will see new improvements to e-prescribing (including EPCS availability in additional states and prescription delegation), enhanced billing functionality, charting order sets, and much, much more.
We look forward to your ongoing support and contributions as we continually strive to be the #1 EHR platform in customer satisfaction and ease of use.
Best,
Matthew Douglass,
Co-founder and SVP of Customer Experience
