San Francisco, CA; January 14, 2016 – Practice Fusion, the #1 cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) platform, today announced the achievement of significant growth milestones in 2015. The company added over 5,000 new active medical practices and dozens of life science partners last year, while realizing accelerated year-over-year revenue growth of more than 70%.
Q4 2015 capped a pivotal year for Practice Fusion, as it continued to gain traction among private practices and built a stronger presence by engaging with key health systems and partners, including 150 of the top life sciences companies through its FusionConnect ecosystem. In October, the company passed the threshold of five million patient visits a month, helping its physicians manage more than 250,000 patient visits per day. Since launch, Practice Fusion’s EHR platform has helped doctors facilitate over 178 million patient visits to date.
The company has continued its commitment to listening to doctors to help advance the EHR platform. Last year alone, nearly 800 product ideas were submitted by the Practice Fusion user community. This resulted in Practice Fusion successfully launching 80 of these ideas as EHR product features, alongside 100 new feature enhancements and product improvements also launched in 2015. Some of the most user and customer-valued features and initiatives launched in 2015 includecustomizable flowsheets, which help doctors more easily track patient health data and identify gaps in care;ICD-10 readiness, which incorporated more than 123,000 new procedure and diagnosis codes and electronic fax and document management providerUpdox.
Other notable Practice Fusion 2015 milestones include:
- Tom Langan was appointed as permanent CEO.
- Nearly 30,000 monthly active practices used Practice Fusion.
- The company added several new partners, including partnering with RadNet and CoverMyMeds, and ran new population health management initiatives with life sciences customers AstraZeneca and the American Urological Association.
- American EHR, a partner of the American College of Physicians, named Practice Fusion the market share leader for solo and 1-3 provider practices.
