Meaningful Use: You’re already up to date
CMS recently adjusted the Meaningful Use program for both Stage 1 and Stage 2. The core and menu requirements have been consolidated into 10 objectives in an attempt to simplify the reporting requirements. Although these adjustments go into effect on December 15, we’ve already updated your Meaningful Use dashboard to reflect these changes.
As a member of the Practice Fusion community, you’re one of the first providers in the country to use an EHR that helps you meet these policy changes. We continuously monitor the industry for regulatory changes and update your EHR based on feedback from over 112,000 health care professionals to help make sure that you’re always on the leading edge of care.
Participating in Meaningful Use is easier than before
In addition to an updated dashboard, it’s now easier to meet the adjusted requirements by connecting specific facilities to your state immunization registries.
Once you’ve registered your practice with your local registry’s website, you can integrate your EHR through Immunization Settings. Go to Settings, select Immunization registry, and complete the section labeled “Electronic Transmission”.
You can also now enroll your patients in their patient portal during the patient visit.
To grant access to a patient or caregiver, open the patient’s chart and click the Actions button. Select Invite to patient portal from the drop-down menu to invite them to Patient Fusion.
